Why people call us
An injury hits your budget long before it hits a settlement.
Insurance companies know money gets tight while you heal. The longer you wait, the more tempting a low offer looks. That pressure is how good cases settle for less than they're worth.
A lawsuit cash advance takes that pressure off, so the decision to settle is based on what your case is worth, not on what's due Friday.
- Rent and mortgageLandlords and lenders don't pause for a pending claim.
- Lost paychecksTime off work adds up fast, especially if you can't go back yet.
- A wrecked carYou still need a way to get to the doctor and back to work.
- Everyday billsGroceries, utilities, phone, childcare. Life keeps going.

Pre-settlement funding calculator
Know your payoff before you sign.
Move the sliders to see what you'd repay with simple interest, and how much more a compounding contract would cost at the same rate.
Example rate: 2.99% per month, simple interest. Your actual rate and payoff schedule depend on your case and are stated in writing in your contract before you sign. This calculator is an illustration, not an offer of funding.
A compounding contract at the same rate would cost $16,995. Simple interest saves you $1,613.
Simple interest (what we use)
The charge is figured only on the amount you received. A month costs the same in year two as it did in month one.
Compound interest (what we avoid)
The charge is figured on the amount plus earlier charges, so it snowballs. The longer a case runs, the faster the balance grows.
Why Ark
Funding from people who've sat across the table.
Too many injured people take low offers just to keep the lights on. Every term at Ark exists to stop that from happening.
A contract you can read
Your payoff at every month is printed in a table on the first page. No processing fees buried in the fine print.
Simple interest only
We never compound. On long cases, that can mean thousands more dollars staying in your pocket.
Non-recourse funding
If your case ends without a recovery, you owe nothing. Your credit, paycheck, and property are never on the line.
Privately funded
No bank, broker, or middleman. The people who approve your file are the people who send your money.
A real person, by name
You get one contact who answers your questions in plain English. In Spanish too.
Lawsuit filed or not
Many claims settle with the insurance company before a suit is ever filed. If you have an attorney and a pending claim, you can apply.
Our commitment
Your case stays your case.
We've seen what a few months of missed paychecks does to a family, and to a case. Ark is built to give you breathing room without taking control.
- You don't have to hire any particular law firm to apply.
- Your own attorney stays in charge of your case.
- We never tell anyone when, or for how much, to settle.
“The worst reason to accept a settlement is that you can't afford to wait. Ark exists so you never have to.”

Pre-settlement funding, explained
What is pre-settlement funding?
Pre-settlement funding, sometimes called a lawsuit loan, lawsuit cash advance, or settlement advance, is money paid to an injured person before their personal injury claim resolves. It is non-recourse: you repay it only out of your settlement or court award. If the claim ends with no recovery, you owe nothing.
Because repayment depends on the case and not on you, there's no credit check, no income verification, and no monthly bill. Most people use the money for rent or mortgage payments, car payments, utilities, groceries, and other everyday costs while they recover.
How much does pre-settlement funding cost?
Cost depends on two things: the rate and how it's calculated. Many companies compound their charges monthly, which makes long cases expensive. Ark uses simple interest only, so the charge is figured on the amount you received and never on earlier charges. Use the funding calculator above to compare.
How much can I get?
Advances are usually a modest share of what a case is realistically expected to recover, so most of the settlement stays with you. Ark funds from $500 to $50,000, based on your injuries, the insurance available, and the stage of your claim.

Common questions
Pre-settlement funding FAQ
Is pre-settlement funding a loan?
No. It's a non-recourse advance against your future recovery. Unlike a loan, you make no monthly payments and you owe nothing if your case ends without a recovery. Repayment comes only from your settlement or judgment.
What happens if I lose my case?
You owe us nothing. That risk is ours, not yours. The few exceptions, such as fraud, are written plainly in the contract.
Do I need to have filed a lawsuit to get funding?
No. Many injury claims settle directly with the insurance company. If you have an attorney and your claim is pending, you can apply whether or not a lawsuit has been filed.
How much pre-settlement funding can I get?
Between $500 and $50,000, depending on your injuries, the insurance available, and the stage of your case. We keep amounts conservative so most of your settlement stays yours.
Do you check my credit or employment?
No. We look at your case, not your credit score or job history. Applying doesn't affect your credit.
